C.L.A.S.S. (Canine Life and Social Skills) is a fun, positive, dog obedience program that goes beyond regular training. Its main goal is to help you raise a well behaved dog who knows how to behave on walks, when friends come over to visit and whom you can take out into the public without fear of embarrassment. Obedience skills of proper meeting and greeting, leashing manners, settling down, waiting at the door, coming when called, staying are just a few things that are covered. This program builds on itself and can ultimately lead to your dog earning a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.).
Canine Good Citizen
The Canine Good Citizen Program was established by the American Kennel Club in1989 to facilitate proper training of mixed and pure bred pet dogs that can function effectively in our society. A well behaved dog has many more doors open to him and passing a Canine Good Citizen Test can be a good step in the right direction. This class teaches basic obedience skills with the goal of passing your Canine Good Citizen Test (CGC) in mind. As of 2013 any dog passing his CGC test will also be able to claim the CGC as a true AKC title to be proudly worn after his or her name.
